Between January 23 and 24, 1916, the temperature dropped from 44 degrees F and -56 degrees F. It's the only 100 degree drop within 24 hour history. At Glacier, wintry conditions last from October to May. In the east side of the park, it's warm in the summer and sometimes the temperature reaches the 90s in the valleys. Then the cold for the rest of the year. Meanwhile, the west's climate reflects that of the Pacific Northwest. It's cool in the summer but warmer than the east in the winter. It also cloudier and receives much more rain than the eastern half of the park. The tourists visits during the summer. In the summer, you would wear shorts, t-shirt, shoes, and sweatpants if the park gets dark.
