Glacier National Park was established on May 11, 1910. It's located in northwest Montana and shares border with Alberta, Canada. The park encompasses 1,584 square miles(4,101 square kilometers). Glacier attracts close to 2 million visitors per year. Hundreds of species of animals and more than one thousand species of plants are found within borders. Mountain goats, bighorn sheep, grizzly and black bears, moose, elk, bald eagles, and bull trout are among Glacier noteworthy animals. The pasque, lupine, gaillardia, Indian paintbrush, and beargrass are the plants in Glacier National Park.
